Cereal Instruments - Store-O-Rack
Seeing as we are continuously looking for the next awesome and unique modules to add to our racks, we came across a peculiar post from our friends out at Cereal Instruments. They had developed a limited number of a little box they call the Store-O-Rack.
The Store-O-Rack is an 18HP box (literally) with a velcro top. Simple and genius… Announced specifically on Instagram as a limited edition, we knew these would be gone in minutes. A few minutes later and we were going to be one of the limited owners.
Now, one might be asking why would someone want an 18HP box to put in their rack? Well, we have a HUGE studio case … multiple actually, and we have PLENTY of room.
We also do a lot of modular DIY, so we have cable testers, eurorack LED plugs and other supplies just sitting around. This was the PERFECT solution.
Store-O-Rack Build
Believe it not, the Store-O-Rack was a kit. Cereal Instruments is relatively new to the Eurorack world with their release of the MESH (which we will build at a later date) and this was followed by another module named “THUMP” (which we have on order).
The kit itself was pretty small and contains the following parts:
- 2x Screw Mounting Panels
- 1x Plastic Storage Box
- 4x Screws
- 4x Velcro Pieces (Hook)
- 4x Velcro Pieces (Loop)
- 1x Cover Panel
The build itself was quick and easy. We used a small Phillips screwdriver to first tighten down the mounting panels to the storage box (use tehe 4x supplied screws). Once the mounting panels are secured, take 4 of the Velcro tabs (it can either the loop or the hook side) and remove them to the mounted panels.
After placing a set of the Velcro pieces, attach the other 4 pieces to the ones that are tacked down. Remove the backing tape and carefully center the cover panel on the top of the box. The cover panel will cover both the screws and the Velcro that was just placed. That’t it, the build is complete and you can mount the Store-O-Rack in your case/rack.

Final Thoughts:
The Store-O-Rack from Cereal Instruments is a cool little addition to our rack. Upon setting it up, we tossed in our Horstronic Cable Tester and a couple of our Modular LED plugs and closed the lid. We know for sure that we will be using it to store quite a few things to come.
One thing is for sure…the Store-O-Rack was born out of need for storage and its quality is top notch. It was a really cool concept to see come to life and we were glad to get one of these unique utility modules!
